Located in Sorocaba, an industrial city located 90 km from São Paulo, EDENTEC began its activities in 1976, providing new wooden spool assembly services and used spool recovery to serve the main manufacturers of energy, telecommunications, steel and other cables. With a manufacturing unit in the city of Buri, 250 km from the São Paulo capital, a reforestation area in the interior of São Paulo, Edentec's activities are focused on the extraction, processing of wood, and manufacture of components for its products. The Buri unit, with an area of 30,000 m2, consisting of a sawmill, wood drying oven, and several production lines, is structured to produce wooden spools from a minimum diameter of 0.35m to 3.25m. All components of wooden spools are manufactured there and transferred to the Sorocaba unit, where specialized teams develop the entire process of assembling new spools and refurbishing used spools. With these two units, EDENTEC is one of the main wooden spool manufacturers in Brazil, producing products according to ABNT 11137 standards, as well as special spools to meet specific market needs. The Product Engineering Department, its strategic geographical location, agility in service, and ISO 9001-2015 certification are EDENTEC's differentials available to users of its products and services over the last 47 years.

The areas of Product Engineering, Technical Assistance, Central Administration, and Sales are centralized in Sorocaba.
The Sorocaba Distribution Center maintains stock of standardized spools that are sent to the market assembled or in the form of a "kit". EDENTEC's own fleet of trucks and trailers allows greater flexibility and punctuality in meeting the needs of its customers.
